The Experience
Begin your journey with a hotel pickup and a complimentary local tour featuring visits to Pekan Nabalu, Kinabalu Park registration, and Desa Dairy Farm. After an overnight stay at Poring Hotspring or Kinabalu Park with dinner provided, gear up early on Day 3 for a guided ascent to Low’s Peak. Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise at the summit, followed by a scenic descent and shuttle transfer back to Kota Kinabalu, where you’ll receive your Certificate of Achievement.
Itinerary
Day 1
- 08:00Pickup from your hotel lobby or airport in Kota Kinabalu
- 09:30Arrive at Pekan Nabalu (73 km from KK) Browse local stalls for fruits, vegetables, handicrafts and souvenirs
- 10:30 - 12:00 Continue to Kinabalu Park for pre-climb registration - Bring your passport (international guests) or original IC (Malaysian guests) - Allow extra time for possible queues
- 12:00Visit Desa Dairy Farm - Sample fresh milk, yogurt and famous “mountain” ice-cream - Lunch: at your own expense (cafés and food stalls available)
- 15:00Check-in at your chosen accommodation: - Poring Hot Spring (includes access to hot pools) or - Sutera Sanctuary Lodge at Kinabalu Park Afternoon: Free & easy
- 19:00Dinner at the lodge restaurant
Day 2
- 06:30Breakfast at your lodge
- Shuttle transfer (for Poring Hot Spring guests) back to Kinabalu Park
- At Kinabalu Park Reception: - Collect packed lunch - Hand over any unneeded luggage for storage at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge (MYR 15/luggage) - Hire a porter if desired (MYR 14/kg round-trip) - Meet your mountain guide and head to Timpohon Gate
- Begin 6 km trek from Timpohon Gate → Panar Laban (Laban Rata)
- Dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant (shared-dorm accommodation)
- Rest early in preparation for summit climb and final equipment check with guide
Day 3
- 01:30Wake-up call; gear up for summit attempt
- 02:00 - 03:30 Supper at Laban Rata Restaurant
- Depart with your mountain guide for Low’s Peak (4,095.2 m) Cut-off at Sayat-Sayat Checkpoint: 05:30 (no entry beyond this time)
- Reach the summit – witness sunrise and capture photos
- Descend back to Laban Rata for hot breakfast
- Check-out; continue trek down to Timpohon Gate
- Shuttle transfer (KOKTAS) to Liwagu Restaurant Enjoy late lunch (12:00 – 16:30) or receive packed lunch if still en route
- CONGRATULATIONS! You can retrieve your Certificate of Achievement from our team
- Depart for Kota Kinabalu (approx. 2-hour drive)
- Drop-off at your hotel or airport; end of package
